Other courses tell you what you should do.  At Back 2 Bay 6 we teach you not only what to do, but why you should do it and how.

I’ve developed four classes that focus on the relationship between adult supervisors and the children or students they work with. One is for Christian Parents, one for non-Christian Parents, one for school bus drivers, and one for teachers.

I created these classes based on my education, research, and my experience as a parent, teacher, and school bus driver.

My formal education includes:

  • An Associate Degree in General Studies from Columbia Basin College
  • A Bachelors degree in Education from Washington State University
  • A Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Oregon.

I learned almost nothing in my formal education that helped me relate to my kids and students in a healthy manner and how to supervise and train them without resorting to yelling, coercion, and manipulation.

I  searched and researched for years, trying to find valid information.  Finally, I found two solid resources: A book, Positive Discipline, by Dr. Jane Nelson and several works including books and lectures on Choice Theory by Dr. William Glasser. I lean on these two sources heavily in the classes.
